Zeeland Aluminium Company NV (ZALCO) is one of the leading producers of primary aluminium in Europe. ZALCO is mainly active in the market for extrusion billets and rolling slabs. The Company's annual production is 230,000 tonnes of extrusion billets and rolling slabs (more than 100 different alloys and 50 different sizes), which its customers process into a surprisingly wide range of products. The Company also make approximately 100,000 tonnes of anodes per year for its own production process and for third parties.
For the supply of raw materials and the transport of its end products, ZALCO's geographical location on the Westerschelde in Zeeland (NL) is vitally important. From this strategic location in the Sloe industrial district, ZALCO services its customers in the aluminium processing industry throughout Europe.
ZALCO is owned by Klesch, an industrial group that owns and operates in heavy industry.
